Class Description
Throughout the semester students will explore the book “A is for Abigail: An Almanac of Amazing American Women” by Lynne Cheney. Students will learn about various impactful women throughout American history. There will be a variety of writing and hands on activities each week as we focus on a specific woman and/or groups of women from the book.
Class Requirements: Students will need to be able to write/copy shared information. The amount/difficulty level of writing/tasks will be determined by each student’s age/ability with the class being offered to a wide age range.
Materials Needed: Binder (will be provided), Pencil, scissors, glue stick, crayons, colored pencils
