Class Description
This is an interactive class where you’ll get to learn/practice improvisation and other acting skills.
Skills we will practice:
*How to make facial expressions/Body language portray specific emotions
*How to project without injury your voice
*How to communicate clearly so those around you can understand you
*How to play off another actor
*Blocking, Stage presence
*Being creative, “thinking outside the box”, thinking on your feet
*Learning how to adapt to different situations and problem solve, quickly
*Possibly some vocalization/ear training/singing practice for those interested in future musicals, etc.
We will be picking up from last semester with miss Amber and continuing to grow and learn.
We’ll be playing games and working on different exercises to help you find your voice, have fun pretending to be other characters, and become more comfortable in your own skin. Come and explore what dramatic talent the Lord may have given you…. encourage those around you as we all hone in on our skills and enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie that comes as we laugh with each other while we practice.
We will be performing one or two skits for presentations night. Each student will receive a part speaking or none speaking and will be encouraged to learn there part. This may include singing…. 🙂
