Class Description
Using the field of Archaeology, students will be introduced to the field of study and examine history past. We will learn about the tools used, go on pretend dig sites, learn proper grid techniques to perform digs and categorizing objects, learn how important pottery is to examining history, learn the difference between fossils and artifacts, and recreate famous artifacts discovered around the world. Educational subjects covered: Bible, Reading, Math, History, Science, Art, Gross/Fine motor skills, and Reasoning.
Class Requirements: NA
Materials Needed: With the class fee, each student will receive (and be able to take home at the end of semester) their own tool apron, tools for digging, and box to categorize their finds and to display at the showcase.
