Learn about some of our countries amazing leaders! What does it take to run the most powerful country in the world? How do you become president? How old do you have to be? Which president crossed the Delware? Which one freed the slaves? Who’s on the 100 dollar bill? We will explore all the cool facts and learn some interesting history along the way! Each week we will learn more about the presidency as a whole and research a different president’s life and legacy. Potentially each student may present a mini-biography of a chosen president for presentation night in costume, wax-museum form.
Class Requirements: Some reading ability would be a plus but we will do most reading and research as a group. Each student who chooses to present at presentation night will be responsible for providing a costume to wear of their chosen president.
Materials Needed: Basic supplies: pencil, colored pencils or crayons or markers, scissors, glue/glue stick
*Due to the need to provide adequate supervision for our entire program, classes registering fewer than 5 students at sign-up may be canceled in order to allow for appropriate coverage.
