Class Description
An informal-feeling class where students can learn the most common logical fallacies, how to spot them and how to counter them with sound arguments based on logic. Based on the book “The Fallacy Detective” by Hans Bluedorn & Nathaniel Bluedorn.
Class Requirements: Students should have moderate to strong reading comprehension skills for this class.
Materials Needed: “The Fallacy Detective” by Nathaniel Bluedorn and Hans Bluedorn is optional. You may purchase this on your own, borrow, etc, but the book is not required in order to take the class. A notebook (any size is fine). A pencil. Students will frequently be asked to supply real world examples from newspapers, books, and other outside source material.
