Class Description
“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes… and when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground. Take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
Ephesians 6:11, 13,17 (my paraphrase)
We will take a new passage of scripture every week, have parts of it to memorize, learn the context of that passage, and dig in a little. We will play Bible games like the sword draw and trivia contests of the passages we are learning. We will talk about our identity (who God says we are) and how we can use scripture to fight back against the lies of Satan.
My goal is to make memorizing scripture and cementing our identity in Jesus fun! I imagine at least half of class time will be playing Bible games, if the kids do their due diligence during the week.
I am planning on having snacks every week and prizes for hard working individuals and teams.
Class Requirements:
– Study the assigned passage of scripture every week.
– Memorize certain verses of assigned scripture
