Class Description
This class is the first of 3 – 4 accounting classes. I will be using LIVEPAC Accounting 10 Unit Set by Alpha Omega Productions. This first class we will be looking at:
- Accounting career opportunities
- Accounting concepts
- Types of business ownership
- Elements of accounting
- Basic accounting equation
- Recording business transactions
Depending on how far we get each week, this first class could also cover:
- Creating a chart of accounts
- Balance Sheet
- General Ledger
- General Ledger accounts
- Opening entries
This class will be good for anyone looking to gain business and accounting knowledge from small self-employment to going on to college to become a CPA.
Materials Needed: All materials supplied including the sharp pencil. Accountants must have a sharp pencil (and eraser!)
