Class Description
We will be watching the Torchlighter movies from Voice of the Martyrs. Just a word of caution, These movies are extremely good but can be very hard for sensitive viewers! You as a parent know your child best. I have been known for crying while watching and some of them can be pretty intense. But the reason why I love these movies is because they are the true life stories of very well known Christian’s and what they gave up for Christ! I always walk away from watching them feeling very inspired and encouraged in my faith. They are 30 minute movies. We will be having a discussion and/or filling out questions and answer sheets all while having a snack. The titles include: Richard Wurmbrand, William Tyndale, William Booth, Samuel Morris, Augustine, Jim Elliot, Eric Liddell, Amy Carmichael, Corrie ten Boom, Gladys Aylward, Perpetua, and John Bunyan.
Class Requirements: N/A
Materials Needed: Maybe a pencil, able to watch the movie and not disrupt. This will not be social hour. Be able to handle the movies emotionally, if not I’m sure we can put them in a different class.
