Class Description
Students will learn a basic cast on, and proceed to knit a simple project that is age appropriate. Projects include a doll blanket, baby bonnet, scarf, blanket or top down raglan sweater.
It has been proven that using your hands productively triggers activity in 60% of the brain keeping your mind active and in better health. Plus who doesn’t love hand knits?! Bring back knitting.
Younger children 4/5 years+ may learn to finger knit or crochet a simple chain that transfers into playtime and has endless possibilities. A snake? A necklace? A dollhouse accessory?
Class Requirements: A love of using your hands to create.
Materials Needed: Knitting needles (some may be provided), yarn (yarn may also be provided).
