Class Description
How fun would it be to bring your favorite book/s & blanket so we can read in a class and then make custom artwork based on the book/s your reading!?!!
This class will allow students the opportunity to create customized jewlery and or paintings based off of their favorite pieces of literature.
Say the heroine in your story wears a jeweled necklace—you can make your own! Or do you have a favorite poem about a tree or meadow that you’d like to paint using watercolor? We’ll take time to explore various art mediums and ways to make jewlery—depending on each students interest. And take time so the students can free-read during class.
Class Requirements: Be open to trying new art techniques. This will be geared towards story and making things that are influenced by literature.
Students will NOT be required to read aloud! But there will be poems read as part of the experience.
Materials Needed:
A willing attitude
A book–can be a picture book/comic
A blanket….if they would like to be comfy during the reading time.
Students might need to bring other items depending on their projects.
