Class Description
Do you have a shirt that doesn’t quite fit right, pants that fit well but need a little pizazz, or a dress you like but is in the wrong color? Start saving up your projects!
In this class we will be using sewing machines to alter clothing. Rather than formal lessons, students will use hack-and-slash methods (what some people call DIY methods) to take the sewing skills they know and expand them to individualized projects.
*If you are reading this and have sewing materials you would like to donate to this class, or a sewing machine we can borrow, please talk to Andrea😁*
Class Requirements:
Students should have general sewing machine skills: adding thread to the machine and sewing in a straight line. If they have made a simple project before and understand sewing safety, that will be a good level for them to be at.
Materials Needed:
-Sewing machine (we may be able to find some to borrow but it would be better for a student to have their own).
-Assorted threads, scissors, and project supplies. Odds and ends are just fine!
