Class Description
All ages can be engaged and challenged to create, analyze and explore using tangrams, pattern blocks and pentominoes. The activities will encourage students to use visual cues to solve pattern puzzles and to create their own. Younger students will gain experience in discovering how shapes fit and can be manipulated. Older students will be challenged to solve advanced “puzzles”/patterns and to design unique creations of their own. All of the thinking skills used to engage in these activities are fundamental to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Fee covers graph paper, colored pencils and other supplies for various activities.
