Class Description
We will be making several art pieces using different mediums in the mosaic form. Possible mediums may include paper, glass, CD’s, beans, seeds, button, beads, rock, and/or shell.
All projects will be held for display at Presentation Night, after which students will be able to take them home. Projects may be pieces of art to display on the wall and/or functional pieces such as a vase or mirror. TBD.
Requirements: This will be similar to the Mosaic Art class offered Fall 2018. It will be adapted to allow a greater age range. No prior Mosaic Art requirement is needed. These projects will be detailed, time-consuming, require patience, and some may take more than one class session to complete. Students will be required to follow detailed directions and work somewhat independently as they create their masterpieces.
Materials Needed: Great attitude. Creativity. Willingness to work hard, have fun, and stay-focused. Optional: Smock/apron to wear during class projects to protect clothing. (There will be LOTS of gluing and some painting.)
