Class Description
Let’s learn about visual art!! In this hands-on class, we will spend time learning about, observing and discussing works of art from the masters. Then, the students will be guided in creating their own works of art according to the techniques discussed in the lesson! Art techniques will include: sketching, using watercolor crayons and brushes, 2-D and 3-D paper art, and clay sculpting.

1) Make a Contour Drawing!
2) Fill the Space Using Water Color Crayons!
3) Make a Paper Cutout Collage!
4) Make a Clay Figure!
This class will use the Artistic Pursuits Early Elementary book.

Class Requirements: No previous art experience is needed, however, being able to use scissors and soft crayons well will be beneficial.

Scissors
Pencil with eraser
Glue Stick
(With the class fees, I will be purchasing additional supplies that your children will use in their projects. Each student will be able to take home their own watercolor crayon set at the end of the semester.)
