Class Description

We will be studying the exciting topic of United States Law using the Tuttle Twins Books by Connor Boyack.

There will be a work booklet assigned to each student for every book we read which might spark some new dinner conversations at home.

We will be focusing on just one book per week and leaving the last week open for presentations of their personal “Miraculous Pencil” project.

1.    The Tuttle Twins and the Law – Chocolate Chip Cookie snacks will be served

7.    The Tuttle Twins and their spectacular Show Business – Popcorn and juice will be served

9.    Week 9 the kids will be sharing their personal choice for the “Miraculous Pencil” assignment with the rest of the class

The project due at the end of the semester will require a little thought, a piece of paper and a pencil. The second book we will be reading is called The Miraculous Pencil. We will be discussing ALL of what it takes to make a pencil and how we work together with other countries on earth to get the parts and pieces we need to make the pencil. I will be challenging each student to choose an item to map out on a piece of paper with sticks and circles ALL that is needed to create their chosen item. They can choose a t-shirt, their lego set, a pair of running shoes, their stuffed animal, a book etc. I will be giving them an example to follow which should make this a pretty easy, fun and mind opening project that will clearly show them how God has created us all to be connected.

 

Class Requirements: Being interested in how we can make a difference because we understand the Law a bit better. The student must be able to read at a 2nd/3rd grade level minimum. Parents must be comfortable with The Tuttle Twins as the platform to teach this Law class. You can check them out here https://tuttletwins.com/
