Class Description
This is an interactive class where you’ll get to learn/practice improvisation and other acting skills.
Skills We’ll Practice:
*How to make your facial expressions/body language portray specific emotions
*How to project without harming your voice
*How to communicate clearly so those around you can understand you
*How to play off another actor
*Blocking, stage presence
*Being creative, ‘thinking outside the box’, thinking on your feet
*Learning to adapt to different situations and problem solve, quickly.
*Possibly some vocalization/ear training/singing practice for those interested in future musicals, etc.
We’ll be playing various games and working on different exercises to help you find your voice, have fun pretending to be another character, and become more comfortable in your own skin. Come and explore what dramatic talent the Lord may have given you… encourage those around you as we all hone in on our skills and enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie that comes as we laugh with each other while we practice.
There is no pressure to put on a final performance. For those interested, we’ll probably work on a skit or two and for those not interested in being on stage, we’ll work out something with you. No pressure 🙂
