Class Description
Each week this class will take the kids on a different STEAM adventure of fun activities and learning. The focus will be to incorporate science, technology, engineering, arts and/or math into each week! We will do things such as:
LEGOs – The kids will be given a variety of parts and pieces to build a structure of their choice. Extra points for a colorful artistic pattern design in the structure.
3 Little Pigs House Building Challenge – Kids will be challenged to build the strongest house out of a variety of items such as Lincoln Logs, Spaghetti and Marshmallows, tape and straws, etc and yes, we will huff and puff to see if the houses fall down.
Five in A Row – read a book such as How To Make An Apple Pie and See The World by Marjorie Priceman – practice measuring ingredients, learn about the countries she travels to and of course, eat an apple pie.
Giant Fort Building – We have a large set of building boxes of varying sizes and shapes. The kids will work together to build a fort with the boxes that will be big enough for them to play inside.
Electronics – Kids will construct circuits with colorful electric building blocks to learn about electricity and how electronic devices work.
Art – We will spend a week or two on an art project. We can’t tell you what it is though…it might be a Christmas present for Mom. 🙂
Team building games, activities and more.
Class Requirements: Students must be able to listen and follow directions.
Materials Needed: All materials will be provided by the instructor and included in the class fee.
