Class Description
This class is tailored for kids coming out of preschool. Beginning readers and non-readers are welcome.
Each week we will read a children’s picture book together and study related topics (such as science, geography, history and social studies, art, math, language, and Bible). Titles most likely to be included are Madeline, The Story About Ping, The Glorious Flight, Mike Mulligan, Katy and the Big Snow, Peter Rabbit, Grandfather’s Journey, How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World.
Class Requirements: Students should be able to listen to the story without being too disruptive in the classroom, though we can work on that together. 🙂
Materials Needed: No student materials required. I will bring everything to class (safety scissors, colored pencils, glue sticks, glue, playdoh, cotton balls, desk phone, feathers, diggers and dump trucks, dice, bingo, seeds, apples, pie tins, etc).
